Bakken crude-by-rail developer Rangeland moving into new shale play: EVP

One of the first crude-by-rail terminal developers in the Bakken Shale, Rangeland Energy, is forging into the up-and-coming Delaware Basin play by advancing plans for a hub in Southeast New Mexico, the company's executive vice president said Wednesday.

Rangeland's new endeavor, termed the RIO Hub, will have a two-fold purpose: rail and pipe out crude while bringing in frac sand, the sand used in hydraulic fracking, Steve Broker said during a presentation at Hart Energy's Crude in Motion conference in Houston.
