Christopher W. Keene

CEO

Mr. Keene is a senior energy executive with more than 30 years experience in business development, acquisitions, marketing, strategy, government relations, operations and engineering.  His accomplishments have been both domestic and international and have included natural gas, crude oil, refined products and electric power generation projects.

Mr. Keene is currently CEO of Rangeland Energy III and President & CEO of Rangeland IV.  Previously, Mr. Keene founded Rangeland Energy, LLC in 2009 to develop crude oil assets in North Dakota’s Bakken formation.  The company successfully developed the COLT Hub and related pipeline assets, which were sold to Inergy (Crestwood) at the end of 2012.  In 2013, Mr. Keene founded Rangeland Energy II, which developed the RIO System, multipart crude and sand logistics system originating in the heart of the Delaware Basin that was sold to Tesoro Refining & Marketing Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Andeavor in early 2018.

In 2015, Mr. Keene founded Rangeland Energy III, which developed the STEPS rail terminal in Corpus Christi, TX to export refined products to Mexico.  In 2016, Rangeland Energy III formed Rangeland Midstream Canada to develop and operate crude oil and condensate pipelines in the Clearwater formation of Alberta, CA.

Prior to Rangeland, Mr. Keene was Vice President Business Development, Sunoco Logistics Partners, LP where he was responsible for all commercial and revenue related activity for the company.  In addition, he has held positions of increasing responsibility for Unocal Corporation, El Paso/Tenneco Corporation and Panhandle Eastern Corporation.

Mr. Keene holds a graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
